This website is provided for general information about KITA — our menu, hours, location, events, and how to reach us. We work to keep it accurate and up to date, but menu items, pricing, hours, and availability may change without notice. Nothing on this site is a binding offer, and submitting the contact form does not by itself confirm a reservation, booking, or order.

You agree to use this site lawfully and not to interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or use it to transmit harmful or unlawful content.

Messages sent through the contact form are requests, not confirmations. We will follow up to confirm details such as date, time, guest count, and availability. Private events and catering are subject to separate arrangements, and any quotes or details discussed by email are estimates until confirmed in writing by KITA.

When you use our contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, the reason for reaching out, an optional guest count for event and catering inquiries, and your message. We only collect what you choose to send us.

We handle your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the federal privacy law that applies to businesses in the Yukon.

We use the information you submit only to:

• ›respond to your message, question, reservation, or event inquiry;
• ›arrange and confirm bookings, private events, or catering; and
• ›keep a record of our correspondence with you.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not add you to marketing or promotional email lists based on a contact-form message. Under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), we will only send you commercial electronic messages if you have given us consent to do so; you can withdraw that consent at any time.

Our contact form is delivered using a third-party email service (Resend), which transmits your submission to our email inbox. Your information is also stored in our email and, where relevant, our reservation and event records. These providers process your information on our behalf and may store data on servers located outside the Yukon, including outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

We retain contact-form messages only as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, and to keep reasonable business records.

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. You may also ask us to delete your contact-form message from our records. To make a request — or if you have any questions or concerns about how we handle your information — contact us using the details below. We will respond as required under PIPEDA.

The KITA name, logo, branding, photography, menu descriptions, and the design and content of this website are the property of KITA Japanese Kitchen + Bar and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

This site may link to third-party services such as Google Maps, Instagram, and Facebook. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; their own terms and policies apply when you visit them.

This website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, KITA is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Yukon and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute relating to this website or these terms will be handled by the courts located in the Yukon.

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
